The shielded X-ray room holds source, detector and manipulator; the analysis room next to it holds the workstation and the control cabinet. Heating, ventilation, lighting, windows and cable ducts are built in.
The container carries 20 mm of lead in the beam direction and 10 mm towards the analysis room. Directional shielding keeps the container transportable while it holds the protection level of 0.5 µSv/h.
The container is built as a weatherproof outdoor unit and shipped by sea or road on a flat rack. On site it needs a foundation and a power connection.
That depends on the site. Where no buildings overlook the container, roof shielding may not be required; we decide it with your radiation protection officer.
Yes. It is built as a transportable unit and can be relocated with its equipment.
