How we build.

Shielding for your source

We lay out the lead for the tube, power and beam direction you use – microfocus, liquid-metal-jet or high-power sources. Thicker where the beam points, lighter elsewhere.

Steel–lead–steel modules

Lead sheets sandwiched between steel, delivered as modules and bolted on site. No welding, so a cabinet can be moved later.

The complete safety chain

Door interlock, warning lamps inside and outside, emergency stops and key switch, wired to your X-ray controller and ready for acceptance.

From first call to acceptance

  1. Your source, parts and room
  2. Shielding and layout design
  3. Production of the modules
  4. Delivery and installation on site
  5. Acceptance with your radiation protection officer

Questions and answers

Which X-ray sources can a BliXray cabinet house?

Any source up to 300 kV – microfocus, liquid-metal-jet or conventional tubes. The shielding is laid out for the source you choose.

What protection level do the cabinets reach?

0.5 µSv/h outside the cabinet. The value is confirmed by measurement at acceptance of each installation.

Do you also supply the X-ray system?

The cabinet is offered on its own. If you wish, we integrate the X-ray source, detector and manipulator you select.

Can a cabinet be moved to another room later?

Yes. The modules are bolted, not welded, so the cabinet can be dismantled and rebuilt.
