The inspection task

A filled component is only as reliable as its fill. Voids, cracks and gaps between fill and housing change how the part behaves, and they are invisible from the outside. Fuze assemblies add a second task: dozens of small parts must sit in the right position after assembly, and a single missing or tilted spring is a reject.

Which system, and why

Small fuze parts need microfocus resolution; larger filled bodies need penetration. BLCT-MICROLAB covers most assemblies, BLCT-NANOLAB the smallest components, and BLCT-HPLAB the larger bodies with thick metal housings.

Questions and answers

Does the part have to be opened or cut?

No. CT works through the housing; the part stays complete and can be released after the scan.

Can CT tell a void from a density difference?

Yes. The 3D volume shows grey values across the whole fill, so voids, cracks and denser or lighter zones are separated and can be measured.

Can we send parts for a test scan?

Yes. Test scans are run in our Hannover laboratory; parts and data stay confidential.
