CT inspection for castings
BliXray CT systems inspect castings for porosity and measure them in the same scan. Defect analysis and metrology come from one data set, for a small housing as for a large structural casting.

Porosity where it matters
A pore in a thick rib is harmless; the same pore under a sealing face or in a load path is not. CT gives the position of every pore in the part, so that acceptance can follow the function of each region.
Penetration decides the system
A thin-walled aluminium housing is a task for microfocus CT. Thick sections, steel and large castings need high-power sources or a linear accelerator.
